Well I know its not Monday but...here's another (not so) Monday Minute with So...? Fragrances. Just smile and think of the weekend...
As you know over the next few weeks and months I'm writing about my favourite products from So...? Fragrances including what they are known best for, beautiful body sprays and perfumes, luscious lip balms and dry shampoo. This is the second of my collaboration posts and it's 100% my own views, it's not sponsored, just as a disclaimer.
Today I'm going to do a quick review of my favourite fragrances that I've tried, So...? Eternal. My first impression of this was the gorgeous and girly design of the bottle with pinks, whites, and purples crossing across the packaging, and of course, the purple diamond.
One of my favourite So...? Fragrances
With bottom notes of amber, sandalwood and vanilla, heart notes of violet, pink peony and orchid and top notes of clementine and lemon, the unique scent of this fragrance makes it a stand out from the So...? range. I love the combination of fragrances all in one and as I have nearly ran out I am tempted to buy a new bottle or even try the elegant perfume version.
I also have the lip balm of this fragrance as I think it's very light and sweet so it's not too heavy for daily use. Eternal was one of the first fragrances I ever tried from So...? as it's delicate and delicious. I think this scent is perfect for summer as it is not as heavy as other fragrances like So...? Superstar. One thing I would say that it is a bit sickly if you don't like really strong, sweet scents but overall I love wearing it.
So...? Eternal is available from all supermarkets and Superdrug;
Body spray- On offer at Superdrug for 98p!
Perfume- On offer at Superdrug for £2.98!
Thanks for reading my latest (well not exactly) Monday Minute!

So after a busy month and a half of travelling and school work I'm back and blogging, better than before.
Dry Shampoo=every girl's hero, whether to spray excess grease away or to add extra volume when styling there is always a bottle lying around in every beauty girl's bedroom. Batiste, the UK's best selling dry shampoo is my most used hair product, as it always leaves my hair feeling super refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Also I love the amazing fragrances that last all day.
The very lovely Lisa, at Batiste, sent me some beautiful brand new fragrances and invited me to take on the Try it Dry challenge.
From left- Pixie Lott fun & floral, Monochrome, Oriental & another Pixie Lott.
Batiste has always been a family favourite but I'll admit I never used to be much of a fan due to the fact that my Mum always uses the same scent, the exotic dry shampoo (the yellow can). After receiving these products I have changed my mind and starting using some whenever my hair needs to be refreshed. Also to celebrate the release of the limited edition of the Pixie Lott fun & floral fragrance, I may do an Instagram giveaway as I was sent two (@sophielouisaxo I follow back...shameless self promotion y'know).
Out of all the dry shampoos my favourite has to be the gorgeous oriental one, with the pretty and opulent scent. Look to the East with the new Batiste Oriental scent! The packaging is so gorgeous and is one of the latest scents to be added to the Batiste family. I think this scent is perfect for the Summer as it's light but smells delicious. I think its also very refreshing for your hair and friends of mine have used this one too as it's fresh on the shelves and they agree it's the prettiest bottle and the most gorgeous scent ever from Batiste. Always remember when using any dry shampoo, hold the can 30cm away from your head and spray into the roots and massage it thoroughly, before leaving it for 2 mins then brush through and style. If you spray too close to your head it will leave a white patch..which has happened to everyone before! The Oriental scent is so elegant, gorgeous and girly and is my favourite scent yet.
The next fragrance I received is the striking, spicy and sassy Monochrome scent which I think is perfect for adding extra volume to any up-do for added retro glam.
So get ready to get groovy baby with the Monochrome scent added to the Batiste range to give some retro vibes. I think that the Monchrome is the perfect pick-me-up scent for a sassy but classy style. Compared to the Oriental scent, it definitely gives you more volume and vibrancy to your hair which I believe is great for a night out. It does have a heavier scent whereas the Oriental one has such a light and delicate scent that it's perfect for Summer. This one also has a very unique scent with orange blossom and pepper notes to give it some spice but is still lovely. To add extra volume again I'd use the plumping powder if you're not fussed on the spray, click here. It's an exclusive to Boots so get your hands on one before they're all gone!
The last scent I was scent to review is the brand new Pixie Lott fun and floral fragrance which has a gorgeous, playful, summery scent perfect for every girl. Pixie Lott has done an amazing collaboration with Batiste and I love this limited edition scent, the bottle has such an unique design and you still get added volume with long lasting fragrance. To watch Pixie's quick tutorial of how to use Batiste and how to style your hair with it, click here.
Pixie is known for her super style and gorgeous hair that is always styled to perfection with volume and vibrancy. After using the Pixie Lott fragrance it did revitalize my hair with some added volume but not as much as I hoped, I adore the scent but I was hoping it would be something more spectacular as there as been so much build up for this product. Overall, I do love it and I would be happy to re-purchase as I think it has the best day-to-day scent without being too heavy or too light as it has notes of jasmine but I love the bottle design, definitely something that would catch my eye when choosing off the shelf in a store. At the moment if you buy a bottle of this from Boots you can get an exclusive download of a Pixie Lott song and £2 off her album!!
So out of all them the best one definitely has to be the Oriental one for it's enchanting, elegant and enriching scent and the pretty little packaging. Every girl needs a bottle of dry shampoo and now it's your chance to Try It Dry with promotions both at Boots and Superdrug. All Batiste products are better than half price at Superdrug, so give the Pixie Lott fragrance a go and show your wild side. If there isn't a Superdrug near you, Boots have a 3 for 2 promotion across all hair products, so why don't you try Monochrome or Oriental and the Plumping Powder and get one free? Batiste do so many fragrances including the exclusive Urban and two that I want to try so so much, the XXL volume booster and cool & crisp. So why not show your hair some love and Try it Dry? With a fragrance for every type of girl, join the 2.5 million girls across the UK who are already loving Batiste. Find your Batiste style and Try it Dry!!
Thank you once again to Lisa and Dawn at Batiste for sending me these products, this is my honest review on them and I'm not being biased. I was very lucky to receive these and any other products I have mentioned were bought with my money. This post or the Batiste posts on my Instagram are not sponsored in any way at all! :)

Who doesn't love a quick dip in the bath, soaked in mini mountains of beautiful bubbles and being cascaded by the fascinating fragrances of bath bombs?
Miss Patisserie, one of my favourite companies, sent me some of their amazing products to try and I think I'm officially in love with them. After seeing the little Miss Patisserie stand in a vintage store not far from my house I was intrigued by the gorgeous packaging, I mean who couldn't resist not only a beautifully scented bath bomb but one in a little box with pugs on? I did forget to upload the photo below of their stand on Instagram before receiving my products, oops!
Miss Patisserie are a UK based company who never test their products on animals and their bath bombs are some of the best I've ever tried! With the most perfect packaging and unique products, Miss Patisserie is definitely a company to buy from.
La Vie en Rose Bath Fizzy Body Scrub
This is by far my favourite product from Miss Patisserie, it's such a good idea and makes Miss Patisserie different from any other company. In a cute little cupcake shape, the base of this product is a bath bomb and the top is a body scrub. Simply drop it into the bath and the bath bomb will fizz away then you are left with an exfoliating bath scrub, which left my skin super smooth and smelling sensational. The fragrance of the bath bomb lasts for a very long period of time which I was very pleased by and with an irresistibility cute box that it comes in I'm going to buy some more! Click here to see the range on their website.
Gorgeous glitter and fabulous fragrance!
Yes, you may swoon over the pugs and gorgeous illustrations, go to their website for more!
Detox Egg
I think this is for Easter but it smells so so nice! This product has the strongest scent of all of them but has an amazing colour! It lasts for about 15-20 mins in the bath but fizzes for a long time, creating a bold blue/turquoise colour. Once again the fragrance remained in my bathroom for a few hours, as soon as I walk in to the bathroom I can smell the Miss Patisserie products over the scent of my LUSH ones which shows something. I'm very happy with this product and adore it's cute shape, would love to get my hands on another one to try again! The cocoa butter in the product really softens your skin, the Detox Egg is a must for the Easter season.
Fizzy Ball
Unfortunately, I don't know the name of this product. I think it's Jungle Flowers but anyway, this is my favourite fragrance out all the products as it is so strong and zesty! I love all the glitter and the bright colours that the fizzy balls give you in a bath, they're so bold and bright it's amazing!
Passion Fruit Lip Tint
Along with the bath products I was sent, I also received a lovely little lip tint. With a deep, rich plum colour and a delicious passion fruit scent, this lip tint is gorgeously packaged in Miss Patisserie's signature black and white print. Even though I love the smell of this product, I had to apply it a few times to get some good moisture but that is the only negative point, otherwise I love it! A nice alternative to Baby Lips and from a local company.
Once again thank you to the terrific team at Miss Patisserie for sending me these products. I'm going to pick up a few more now after trying these, Miss Patisserie have an amazing range and it's definitely worth ordering from them!
Hello there! So every Monday I'm going to start Monday Minute, a quick blogpost about an item I love! The next two Mondays I'm on holiday but hopefully I'll be able to do this every Monday from now on, just to brighten your Monday and make it a better day.
So of the next few weeks I'm going to start my collaboration posts with So...? Fragrances in a series of posts called So Sophie, a new So...? fragrance for every day. Just as a disclaimer, I do have many So...? products that I either purchased or received as gift and I'm very fortunate to be sent these new fragrances and dry shampoos to try. My blog is 100% my own views and if there is anything negative about any products I will point them out. The first fragrance I chose to review is the beautiful and brand new body spray and perfume from the range, So...? Burlesque. Already being a massive fan of So...? products and wearing them every day I was excited to see a new fragrance being released and I knew I had to get my hands on it! My first impression was the bold, striking colours of the packaging. I personally prefer the body spray packaging as I don't really like the perfume version as it its quite plain and to some people, quite tacky. I think the price of any So...? product is brilliant and perfectly on budget for its target audience, teenagers.
I have 7 So...? perfumes in total, two behind will be reviewed soon as they are part of this series.
So...? Burlesque is a new and unique fragrance and is my favourite so far, with floral and fruit notes, it is the perfect light day fragrance as it does last all day. I love how many different smells make one wonderful fragrance, it includes vanilla, florals and blackcurrant. So...? Burlesque was a fabulous and fantastic edition to my fragrance collection and I will definitely be restocking! The perfume version of this fragrance is currently on offer for £2.99 at Boots instead of £5.99 pick up a bottle and give it a go, it's worth trying out. Click here to purchase! Thank you for reading my first Monday Minute! There will be more So...? products in my series of posts, keep looking out for them over the next few weeks! As part of my 3 blogs in 3 days, tomorrow there will be a post about Miss Pastisserie, be sure to read. Follow my Instagram @sophielouisaxo
Well Spring has officially sprung, it's time for pretty prints and pastels to make their mark once again in the world of fashion and Instagram.
Spring is the most spectacular season, with dainty daisies popping up everywhere and the sun staying out longer. Spring always is the best fashion season too, I'm so excited to see the return of pastels and of course, Juju sandals and frilly socks makes me feel 4 years old again.
I have a lot of favourites this month, mainly makeup but no fashion items as I'm going to Ottawa and Toronto in a few days, so I'll be getting a lot of new items there, Brandy Melville and Forever 21 here I come (ooh sassy..)
Makeup Favourites
I've had so many makeup favourites this month from Benefit Minis to Balmi, it was hard to choose my absolute favourites!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- Shade 05 Silky Beige
My first favourite is Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, which is definitely one of the most talked about and best pressed powders on the market. This is a perfect powder for setting any foundation, concealer or BB cream and I've found it works really well and is not too heavy. I found applying it with my Real Techniques Blush Brush covers up any pores or spots but still gives my skin a natural look. I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush instead of the Powder Brush because I found that the Powder Brush is so large, it is probably too big for my face! What I would say is that this powder doesn't last all day and does tend to fade off, but for the price at £3.99 it is definitely worth it! It does Stay Matte but I wouldn't recommend this product for people with super dry skin, I have combination skin so it suits me but may not be ideal for everyone.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer- Shade Soft Beige
This concealer is literally my favourite ever concealer and I love that it is very similar to the Wake Me Up Foundation, which is award winning. For me personally I prefer liquid concealers to cover up sticks, as when I have dry skin, a cover up stick is very hard to blend in. The only negative points about this product is that it does have a shimmer effect and can look quite glittery and also, if not blended in properly will appear quite orange! I would definitely recommend this though as it is not only the best liquid concealer I've used but also the best concealer I've ever used!
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in Medium
Maybelline is definitely one of my favourite makeup brands and after discovering this product I love them even more! Their BB Cream is much better than any other BB Cream and I love how there is two different types, Dream Pure for oily skin and Dream Fresh for dry skin. What I love about the product is that it is not only easy to blend, looks natural and it suits my skin tone, but is very, very long lasting. It is great for daily use as it is not as heavy as foundation but still covers up any flaws, you only need little concealer at a push when using this. BB Cream is my go-to product at the moment and Maybelline have done a very good job.
Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara
When it comes to mascara, I don't want any clumps or uneven lashes so my mascara has to be just right. After seeing so many recommendations about this one, I had to go and pick it up and I don't regret it! I love Seventeen products as they are ideal for any teenager as they are not too heavy and bold and Doll'd Up is their best mascara by far, even better than Va Va Voom! Doll'd Up has a wonderful curled brush that gives you lovely, long and lengthy lashes with a little bit of the product. It doesn't give you any clumps and looks very cute and natural, perfect for a fresh faced spring look. It claims to last for 24 hours and it does what it says on the bottle, I've never had to reapply during the day which is what I've had to do with other mascaras like Barry M 3 in 1. The bottle is so cute with a little bow on it, just like Minnie Mouse, very classy and super sassy.
So...? Va Va Voom Xtra Body Dry Shampoo
I'd never heard that So...? had started making dry shampoos until I was sent two from the lovely team at So...? Fragrances. In a light travel and portable size bottle it shows that good things do come in small packages. My first impression of this product was the smell; I was sent their Lovely Floral and Flirty dry shampoos and both smell incredible! After spraying this into my hair and massaging it into my roots before brushing, I realised the extra volume that this dry shampoo gives and how long the fragrance stays in your hair throughout the day, much better than any Batiste Dry Shampoo. A blogpost on both of these will be up tomorrow or Tuesday, as I have one to write about Miss Patisserie products too before leaving for Toronto on Wednesday, 3 blogs in 3 days oooh!
Soap & Glory Mist You Madly Body Spray
Soap and Glory definitely have the best smelling (and selling) products around and their Mist You Madly spray beats them all. This body spray has the best ever fragrance, it's fun and floral without being too overpowering which is why it's my favourite. At £3.50 for a 100ml bottle it makes me a very happy chappy and I love to spritz this for a flash of fabulous scent, florals and vanilla, what could be better? The packaging is so super cute and it lasts for a good few hours so I love to take this everywhere with me!
Sorry for the terrible quality, eeeek!
Other favourites
5 Seconds of Summer-She Looks So Perfect EP
After finding this in HMV I had to get it, after fangirling in the store with my friend I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy. 5sos have come so far in the past year and I was super-duper excited when they released their first single which went straight to the top of the charts, bravo *claps*. Listening to this constantly on repeat and I love how the EP features Disconncted, it's such a good song!
Sweater Weather-The Neighbourhood
The Neighbourhood are an indie or pop/rock band whom I discovered on Facebook and I've completely fallen in love with their music. Sweater Weather is the song they are known for with over 25 million views on Youtube. I can't stop listening to this song and it will be on my summer playlist, have a listen below and comment what you think of it!!
Daisy Headband-New Look
I adore flower crowns and they are my favourite thing to wear in the summer and look perfect with wavy hair so I couldn't resist purchasing a new daisy headband for £3.99 in New Look. Daisies are my favourite flower above any fancy rose or flower bouquet and I have so many daisy patterned clothing items!

Daring red, pastel pink, colourful coral..the different shades of lipstick go on and on. Lipstick can really give your lips a statement and complete your look whether you are going out for the day or to a party.
The lovely ladies at Beauty UK sent me 3 lipsticks to trial and review. I was sent a trio of lovely shades and was very excited to receive them. The team at Beauty UK are so nice and I'm very grateful for what they have sent. Beauty UK is ran by a family and they don't test their cosmetics on animals. Beauty UK make amazing cosmetics and it is definitely worth checking out their page, their products are available online from this link;
http://www.beautyukcosmetics.com/ Go and have a good old nose and maybe purchase a product or two, they are very high quality and affordable, what could be better!
My first impression of the lipsticks was the lovely packaging and how light and portable these lipsticks are. The packaging is quite similar to MAC lipsticks and I think the Beauty UK products have a nice, simple look to them.
I was sent three completely different shades, a coral/orange, pastel pink and a cerise pink. The lipsticks did smell slightly weird, like a strong mint which may be a little off putting for some people but the colours are so pigmented that the smell doesn't matter!
I love the unique names of these products and if you wanted to purchase any here are the names above. They cost £3.49 each which is a very good price, the lipsticks are moisturising and long lasting which makes them good quality. I would apply a clear lip gloss underneath when you are using these products for the first time, I used Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate.
Son of a Peach
Son of a Peach is a lovely pastel matte colour which is good for people with fair skin as it is a very light shade. Unfortunately this shade was too light for my skin tone and complexion so I wouldn't be able to wear it often unless I wanted to experiment for the Spring/Summer season. I do like the colour of it though as it's a light bubblegum and is definitely on trend for the season.
Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl is probably my favourite shade out of all three! The colour is a gorgeous cerise pink and is very bold, perfect for making a beauty statement or for a party. I think this shade suits medium skin but any skin tone could match it, but for some people it might be a bit too bold. This lipstick lasts for so long too, it took a few attempts to remove it! I also love the shimmer effect it gives.
Sunset
Sunset is a gorgeous coral which I think will be great for the summer time, for £3.49 it is worth picking up one to add that little extra to your holiday and beach outfits. It is very bold and matte and I think coral really adds the extra touch to every look. I think this colour would suit people with an olive skin tone but would also look good on most people.
Gossip Girl, Son of a Peach and Sunset
The only negative point I would say about these lipsticks are that they are very bold and may be a bit too bright for some people, especially teenagers but the rest of the lipsticks by Beauty UK look great. These lipsticks didn't really suit me but I'm going to order some from the website as I'm so pleased with these products and the staff are so lovely! My Mum has taken Gossip Girl, it's her new favourite lipstick! Here are the other shades available from Beauty UK just click here
Thankyou for reading, make sure you go and check my post about these on my Instagram and dont forget to follow me, I follow back!http://instagram.com/sophielouisaxo
I've always liked a pop of colour on my cheeks, whether it's a pastel/pale pink or a cute swish of coral, blushers are one of my all time favourite beauty products.
I've recently purchased 3 MUA blushers from Superdrug and at a retail price of £1 each, these cute little blushers are one of the best I've ever tried.
MUA Blushers; shades from left-'Lolly, 'Candyfloss' and 'Cupcake'
MUA (Makeup Academy Professional London) are a UK based make up company with a wide range of products including the ever-popular One Direction range, 'designed' by the boys themselves. MUA are a new company and all their products are available from any Superdrug store and prices range from £1-£8 (I think..). Some MUA products are a little disappointing and a little bad quality but you get that with every company MUA 's best products include their 1D range, blushers, new Luxe range and lipsticks, as well as their stunning eye shadow palettes such as 'Heaven and Earth' & 'Undressed' which are UK dupes for the world famous Urban Decay Naked Palette I'm a fan of MUA products! Here is all of their products available at Superdrug. http://www.superdrug.com/brand-shops/mua/icat/bs-mua
My first view of the blushes was the fact they are so pigmented; they do claim to be one of the longest lasting blushes on the market at the moment. I would say the packaging isn't that eye catching it's a bit plain and boring, and with a clear lid it could smash easily. However, unless you are buying from Benefit Cosmetics you can't expect too much from packaging design!
I like to use my Real Techniques blush brush or Boots No.7 brush with these blushers.
These blushers are very long lasting, but can fade easily if not applied properly. My favourite shade is probably Lolly or Cupcake, as they suit my skintone better, flush! The only problem is while applying and blending in, little bits of the blush tend to fall off your brush, but for £1 you can't go wrong! And the names are super cute too!!
I would like to try the MUA Cream blushers as I would be able to show swatches, but here are the 3 shades below.
Lolly Lolly is probably my favourite shade as I think it's perfect for the spring/summer time as it has a very matte finish and looks lovely too. As there is a lot of pastels and cute colours in the Spring/Summer time a pop of creative coral will polish the flawless, fresh Spring look and Lolly is perfect for this! Candyfloss I love how pigmented and bold Candyfloss is, it lasts for hours and is the brightest of the shades I have. I don't think this colour would suit everyone, but is great for a bold statement with your look. It's a great pink and one of the nicest shades by MUA. Cupcake Cupcake is probably the shade I've used the most out of all 3 as it is very easy to wear and gives you a natural look. It definitely suits my skin tone and it's one of the best blushers I've ever used, better than some higher brand ones. I do have one or two friends who tried this and found it hard to blend in but overall I think it's great, especially for someone who is trying blusher for the first time.
If anyone was wondering.. After reading so many blogs recently and becoming obsessed with the fabulous world of fashion and beauty, I thought I'd start my own blog, Daisy Chains and Paper Planes.
My aim is to inspire young girls who are interested in fashion and/or beauty and show them that they are beautiful, inside and out. I don't see makeup as a way to cover up your flaws, it's more like drawing on your face, expressing yourself and making you a beautiful piece of art. (oooh that sounded a bit deep..) In a world of style and sass, the fashion and beauty industry is one of the biggest industries across the world. All the art and buzz is something that excites me and something that I want to be part of. Following in the footsteps of my idols Zoella and Tanya Burr, I want to work as a makeup artist or a beauty blogger/vlogger. In the past few months I've been purchasing and discovering beauty products galore after watching too many YouTube videos! Ever since I was young, I've been fascinated by runways and magazine shoots and wanted to be part of it myself, even though I'll never become a model. 'Fashions fade but style is eternal' is a quote I live by, but here's to the future of blogging and beauty, with me Sophie. Thanks for reading!
