Yucoco Handmade Chocolate - Daisy Reviews ♡

If chocolate doesn't make you smile on rainy day, then what does? Yucoco are here to save any wintery blues!

Yucoco are an online, unique British business with over 1 BILLION combinations of chocolate to create, what could be better?  From nuts to nougat and caramel to cookie crumbs, the number of toppings is endless and you can have up to 5 per bar.

Yucoco are all about making your product personal, you can name your bar and include a card for someone special...even if that someone is yourself! Once you've made the hardest decision about the flavour of your bar and included toppings, it will arrive between 3-5 business days!

These bars are perfect gifts for any occasion, birthdays, anniversarys and the upcoming valentines day. The prices range from £4 for a plain bar which comes in milk, white or dark. Or £4.50 for the terrific trio in which you get all flavours in one! The bars are more than a reasonable size of 120g.

Packaging is also a priority and looks great with the Yucoco bar. It comes in a plastic bag to keep your chocolate fresh and can last for a few months, how could you resist it for that long?

Marvellous milk chocolate with, mini bars, chocolate fudge, a large white chocolate button, pieces of flake and white chocolate drizzle!

For those who want to indulge, you can have toppings such as fudge or salted caramel, but for those who are more health concerned you can have dark chocolate and dried fruit, the possibilities are endless! They also bring out seasonal toppings, and for valentines day you can choose love hearts or jelly hearts.

Prime Time - Top 5 Makeup Primers ♡

Primers are an everyday essential in our makeup routines, but whether you use a long-lasting one could make or break your look.

The purpose of a primer is to keep your makeup lasting as long as it's full potential and to improve coverage. Finding your perfect primer can be a challenge, so we've compiled a list of our 5 top primers.

5. Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer (£24.50)
Benefit would usually be top of the list but in this case of primers, they're not. (Soph is the only one who has used this.) I received a mini sample of this primer from Sephora when I was in Canada and loved it, so I bought the full size. After using other primers I found out that it wasn't as good as I originally thought, but still holds makeup for a long time. I wouldn't say 15 hours as advertised, but it does have a good consistency and easy application as a stick. For me, it worked better with BB cream as when used with foundation it appeared patchy. Overall, a good primer but maybe not worth the price.

4. Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer (£6.99)
We both bought this primer at Clothes Show Live 2014 in a Rimmel goody bag, and after reading a lot of positive reviews about it we were both looking forward to trying it out. This primer is perfect for a quick fix; we use it for school as it does exactly what it says. It is said to smooth, resurface, brighten, mattify & protect as a 5 in 1 primer. The packaging doesn't stand out nor does the product, but is simple and practical for if you're in a rush or using primer for the first time and works well on all skin types.

3. Technic 'Smooth It' Primer (£3.99)
For our skin tones, we both prefer a silicone-based primer and that's exactly what Smooth It is. We both love the packaging, simple but the shape is effective. Since its a circular pot, the only negative about this is that you have to put your hand in the pot, sometimes leaving excess product in your nails. This might just be a personal thing but in terms of product quality, this primer applies so well to your face but has a quite a thick consistency. For its price, it is definitely worth the money.

2. Benefit The POREfessional Primer (£24.50)
We have both used this countless times, whether its been full size or sample, the POREfessional is a staple in any modern makeup lover's bag. It does cover up pores, even if its not instantly and gives a matte almost flawless base before applying makeup. The tube isn't completely full and it is quite a big tube, but the packaging is beautiful and overall worth the price.

1. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser (£7.99)
Here we are..number one! Maybelline has always been a favourite, both on our Instagrams and in our makeup bags. As we've previously said, silicone based primers work better on our skin. Even though this is now available in Rose & Apricot, the original has a better texture and helps foundation last longer. The primer is really smooth and works well on most skin combinations and in terms of drugstore primers, this is definitely the best you can get.

Start Of Something New - Daisy Chains & Paper Planes♡

From beauty to blogging,  the internet to Instagram 2014 was a big & beautiful year in our world.

Last year we both started our beauty related Instagrams, posting multiple times a week about products we love and big beauty trends. Now we both have built up a base of followers that has led us onto some amazing experiences. We've been to events such as Clothes Show Live and various blogger events and even been sent products from big brand names such as Batiste Dry shampoo, Beauty UK & So with Attitude...? Fragrances.

This year we hope to make it better than ever, try new things, tick off our beauty bucket list and continue to review and recommend products as well as broadening our ever changing makeup looks and style. This is why we wanted to start a collaboration blog, both having 5700+ & 4900+ Instagram followers we wanted to get our work and reviews out to more people and continue to head into a future of careers in fashion, journalism and photography.

Every week we will upload a post, whether its fashion, beauty or lifestyle, there is always something new to blog about.

We post on our Instagrams every 2-3 days and we are active daily.  Click here to follow Beth's Instagram and here to follow Soph.

Here's to a year of beauty blogging!

xoxo,

Soph and Beth
